Each young people who joins Noima has a different starting point.

We therefore offer ongoing social and educational support, which enables us to identify and meet the needs of students aged between 16 and 24. We define flexible schedules that respond to an individualised work plan, which starts and ends in line with their personal needs and process.

The Noima School of La Garrotxa is possible thanks to the involvement of people and organisations committed to social transformation.

Project preparation and definition programmes for each young people.

Programme aimed at youngsters who have recently arrived in La Garrotxa and do not have the necessary language skills to start a training road map.

The project links the learning of Catalan with knowledge of the environment and participation in the social network of La Garrotxa through different activities, encouraging regional ties for the student.

The resource seeks to encourage access to the different training road maps available in the district and to become a point of reference and support for young people.

Social and occupational activation programme

A training project that seeks to provide tools and support for youngsters who are not part of the educational system and are looking to reverse this situation.

The project is structured around practical training and work experience in which to apply the lessons learned. The training includes activities to work on instrumental aspects, ITC activities, and guidance in defining the subsequent training road map.

Training offered
  • Initial contact with space maintenance and refurbishment trades (electricity, carpentry, painting, brickwork, plumbing, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of personal care (monitoring, childcare, caring for the elderly, etc.).
Age

Between 16 and 19.

Personalised training with companies

Apprenticeship training in local companies from different professional sectors for an initial contact with the labour market and to gain professional experience linked to the training road map chosen.

Training offered
  • Initial professional training.
  • Knowledge of the labour market.
  • Cross-cutting skills.
  • Work experience.
  • Post-insertion monitoring.
Age

Between 16 and 18.

Early school leaving prevention project

Project aimed at secondary education students set to leave school early, who have been previously identified and selected by the school of origin.

It aims to strength the ties of youngsters with their educational road map to avoid rifts and early leaving and works alongside schools.

Training offered
  • Guidance for training and occupational programmes.
  • Development of skills: educational support space.
  • Empowerment: ties with the school, motivation and commitment with the educational road map.
  • Ties to the region: leisure through new technologies and contact with nature as the main methods.

Above 16.

Community participation programme

Cross-cutting programme with a 360º view aimed at all participants of the school’s different programmes and activities.

Roots and a feeling of belonging to the community is worked on through the coordination and promotion of activities with other organisations or agents in the region.
